G2B: e-gov services to SME
and citizens
Description Of Project
To enhance the capacity of small and medium cities to face globalization, situation where the knowledge is the actual capital and the interaction between official and private agents is the model of action, the digital inclusion of SME is one of the best efforts one could do to sustain local economic development and life quality for people. Some actions are on target:
To provide e-government capability to local authorities, enabling them to to interact more efficiently with the population and the productive sector.
To enhance the offer of local services and applications type G2B and G2C, along with social nets to bust local development and democracy; and
To promote the digital capability of SME to the new economy by means of collective access to the network, enabling them to exploit new technological and commercial opportunities.
The methodology to achieve those targets is:
Integrate actions of federal, state and local government, along a strong articulation with NGO, private companies and selected international and national;
Use of IT as a tool for the
interaction of urban actors, looking to bust knowledge diffusion and the
promotion of population training for the information society, using e-gov as a
seeding technology procedure.
Selected cities in Brazil:
Jaú: 110.000 inhabitants, leather and shoes with 220 SME, 24.000 formal employes or more then 43% of local population if counting informal jobs
Limeira:
230.000 inhabitants, 880
SME, almost 30.000 formal and informal jobs, with extension of externalities to
other cities of São Paulo State (São Paulo, São José do Rio Preto),
using e-gov as a seeding technology procedure.
